Competitive Surrey is pleased to bring you details of the forthcoming, occasionally popular Cranton Green Summer Village Festival: ‘Crant-On’.
As always there are activities to entertain the whole family, including:
2PM – 2.45PM: Story Zone (for ‘Young Competitives’):
In ‘Story Zone’, local businessman Gerald Chuffinch will attempt to read to young and overly excited children in the Cranton Green Gallery building.
Gerald will read tales from both contemporary and obscurely traditional books such as:
-
Jon’s Midnight Feast
-
My Perfect Frog
-
Harry Meets a Banker

3PM – 3.02PM: ‘Inside Food’ (in the Big Tent)
Celebrated local chef Seremus Strong (‘Quizeen’ restaurant) will demonstrate how to make his ‘Intricate Strawberry’ dessert.
4PM – 6PM: Music on the Cranton Green Main Stage from:
-
Cally and the Stuffed Shirts (Folk Style music from the smartly-dressed combo)
-
Cotton Robot (80s synth-inspired confusion)

6PM – 7PM: Happy Hour at ‘Potionbowl’ (cocktail bar)
Cranton Green ladies and gentlemen can get increasingly squiffy through the evening, starting with a variety of cocktails thrown together by well-meaning but otherwise unskilled amateur ‘Mixologists’.
From the dubious range of cocktails which we understand will be available, we recommend the ‘Frisky Fashionista’ for the ladies and the ‘Raucous Rodent’ for the gentlemen.
7PM – 9PM: More Music from:
-
Apple Nightmare (Progressive Heavy Electro Rock)
-
Foamoan (???)
9PM: Close
Anticipating complaints from neighbours, ‘Crant-On’ will close down at 9pm.
‘Crant-On’ is sponsored by Cranton Maltings Boutique Shoppery
